An infinite group is just infinite if all of its proper quotients are finite. Is every finitely generated just infinite group of intermediate growth necessarily a branch group?

No, not every; there exist simple finitely generated groups of intermediate growth (V. Nekrashevych, Ann. Math., 87, no. 3 (2018), 667–719).
